Association of Drainage Authorities (ADA)

The Association represents the drainage boards of England and Wales which are established in low lying areas which are at particular risk from flooding. The total area covered by drainage boards extends to over 3 million acres, including vast areas below sea level. ADA makes representation on legislative and other matters on behalf of its members and provides an advisory service, issuing guidelines and keeping boards updated on new developments. It also provides the vital link with other organisations such as conservation interests, Government departments, etc. An information leaflet is available.
