Japanese Gardens
Site dedicated to the gardens of Japan, and more specifically to the historic gardens of Kyoto and its environs, privided by Bowdoin College. Each garden described includes a plan of the garden and a series of high-quality images that can be viewed individually or as a tour. Also includes information on the history and development of the traditional Japanese garden, an overview of commonly-found elements, a bibliography, glossary, and links.

JGarden: the Japanese Garden Database
Information on traditional garden design in Japan and similar gardens established elsewhere, with glossaries, bibliographies, and media galleries. The material is retrievable through clickable maps, time lines, and alphabetical lists.

National Gardens Scheme
A list of all the privately-owned gardens in the UK that open to the public, currently around 3,500 of them. The money raised from entrance fees goes to a variety of charities.

Society of Garden Designers
The Society of Garden Designers aims to provide the public, both in the UK and abroad, with the assurance of competence, quality, experience on the part of its members. The site contains a list of full members, each with a description of their professional experience and the services they are offering, and some include plans and photographs of their work.
