NBS Online Updating

Issue 2: October 2007

This bulletin was sent to subscribers of our Specification product range who were the first group of customers to benefit from online updating when it was launched for NBS Building, NBS Engineering Services and NBS Landscape in October 2007. Following its success, online updating has since been introduced for NBS Contract Administrator (March 2008), NBS Perspective (April 2008) and NBS Scheduler (August 2008).

We are delighted to announce the launch of NBS Online Updating for our Specification product range; NBS Building, NBS Landscape and NBS Engineering.

NBS Online updating is a powerful addition to your software that enables you to retrieve updates from the Internet ensuring your client software and data libraries are fully up to date.

NBS users will be notified when an Online Update is available via a message within the lower tool bar of the software. As a result of this you may receive queries from your NBS users who do not recognise the message.

The message will appear within your NBS software as highlighted below:

Do not worry – your NBS users will not be able to apply any updates without having been previously granted the necessary permissions both as a NBS user within the software and as a network user on your file server.
