K

Key performance indicator (KPI)

An indicator is a statistic used to measure something. A key performance indicator it is an accurate, or particularly good, measure of a particular set of characteristics.

Kilowatt-hour (kWh)

A measure of electrical energy equivalent to a power consumption of 1,000 watts for one hour. A kWh is the amount of energy consumed by a 100 watt light-bulb over 10 hours.

kilowatt-hours peak (kWp)

The maximum amount of power a Photovoltaic module is able to generate under standard test conditions.

Kyoto Protocol

Is an amendment to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, assigning mandatory targets for the reduction of Greenhouse gas emissions to signatory nations.
