Confederation of British Industry (CBI)
The CBI is the largest employers' organisation and business lobbyist in the UK, and one of the biggest in Europe. It exists to promote the long-term competitiveness of British business. It is an independent non-party political body financed entirely by industry and commerce, representing some 250,000 businesses throughout the UK, together responsible for over half the UK's output, exports and employment. The CBI produces surveys on various topics affecting industry and holds an annual conference.
