ICE Conditions of Contract for Minor Works (3rd Edition, as amended)

This is not the first ICE contract that NBS has produced Preliminaries for – sets already exist for the Engineering and Construction Contract (ECC) and the Engineering and Construction Short Contract (ECSC) elsewhere, but this contract set was included mainly in response to requests from those in the landscape industry.

NBS Landscape already includes preliminaries sets for the JCLI Landscape Works Contract, Works Contract with Contractor Design and Landscape Maintenance works Contract published by the Landscape Institute, among others, but it has been augmented by the inclusion of clauses for the ICE Conditions of Contract for Minor Works.

ICE Conditions of Contract are jointly sponsored by ICE, the Civil Engineering Contractors Association (CECA) and the Association of Consulting Engineers (ACE).

The Form itself is intended for use with straightforward contracts of relatively short duration. It does not provide for nomination or Contractor design, although it can be used with a Bill of Quantities or a Schedule of rates. It can also be used as a cost-plus form, depending on which option is selected from the Appendix.

The form itself is accompanied by a guidance note, and should be easy to use and operate. It comes with an agreement and an appendix and includes the usual uncomplicated clauses concerning:
